Tom Wietzema is a Licensed Agent with FNIC who brings nearly twenty‑six years of experience serving individuals, families, and businesses. His path to insurance began while transitioning from active duty in the United States Air Force, where he served for six and a half years before spending an additional eight years in the Air National Guard. During that time, Tom worked full time in his family’s plumbing, electrical, and heating business while completing his teaching degree. A friend encouraged him to explore insurance, and what began as a practical next step quickly became a long‑term career he found both meaningful and fulfilling.
Tom values listening, problem solving, and helping others feel confident in their protection plans. His blue‑collar upbringing shaped his work ethic, including the importance of fairness, respect, and treating people the way he would want to be treated. After many years running his own independent agency, joining FNIC felt like the natural next chapter thanks to the team’s strong reputation and shared commitment to serving clients well.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also loves riding his motorcycle with his wife. Tom is active in his community and has coached the Sibley‑Ocheyedan Shooting Generals trap shooting team for the past ten years, a program he helped start and continues to lead with pride.
