Account Manager, Personal Insurance:

We’re currently looking for an Account Manager, Personal Insurance who will work with producers and carriers to provide exceptional service to our clients.

What’s the work like?

You will:

  • Perform all personal lines service needs including applications, quotations, ID cards, endorsements, binders, billings, renewals, action items and correspondence on assigned accounts
  • Market new and renewal business
  • Assist in the sales process of personal insurance products
  • Enter and maintain underwriting and marketing information in appropriate database
  • Receive, document and process all insureds’, producers’ and insurance companies’ requests for service and submit information to insurance companies in a timely manner
  • Conduct annual coverage surveys and recommend/sell additional coverage and/or increases in limits
  • Review new business, renewals and endorsements to ensure items are received as ordered while following agency procedures
  • Obtain expiration dates for additional policies on all mono-line accounts
  • Maintain accurate and complete client activity information in the agency management systems
  • Reporting claims to carriers
  • Incorporate the capabilities of the agency management systems into daily workflow
  • Maintain knowledge of current underwriting and policy provisions, including binding authority, of contracted insurance carriers

What do I need to know?

You have to have…

  • a valid driver’s license
  • a high school diploma or equivalent
  • a Property and Casualty Agent’s license
  • 3 or more years of Personal Lines and/or personal insurance product experience
  • strong time management and organizational skills
  • strong verbal and written communication skills

We'd like it if you have... 

  • AAI, CIC, CPCU, CPIA and/or CISR designations
  • Knowledge of all personal lines products and rating procedures
