- Preparedness is key and our Benefits Specialists help our clients navigate the retirement and insurance options available to them in order to protect what’s most important in their lives. We are looking for a Retirement/Benefits Specialist to join the Koch team! We’re looking for someone who has experience in:
- Assisting Financial Services producers in marketing and the administration of retirement plans and investment products to businesses and individuals, and
- Managing a book of business comprised of financial products/plans, and Employee Benefits (Group and Individual).
What’s the work like?
You will:
- effectively and independently manage customer service accountabilities on Financial Services and Employee Benefits book of business less than $500,000 in commission income
- assist producer in development of service plan for assigned accounts; and coordinate and monitor the service plan as needed
- assist producers in preparation of enrollment materials and presentations and attend client meetings and benefit fairs
- be knowledgeable of all financial and group products plan designs and rating procedures for a book of business below $500,000 in commission income
- promptly invoice all premium-bearing transactions
- review all applications and policies for accuracy and completeness and take an active role in completing all carrier requirements to implement policy
- complete all submissions to broker dealer for new accounts, commissions, and renewals
- assist with, or perform quarterly plan review meetings with plan sponsors, including preparation of investment reviews and follow up
- manage renewal process according to agency procedures; review quotes, prepare proposals
- communicate all necessary information to producers, clients, carriers and any other agency team members servicing the account
- maintain the electronic account file and fully incorporate the capabilities of the agency management system into daily workflow
- perform quality reviews as requested by management, and comply with requirements of quality programs
- ensure confidentiality is maintained in the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of highly sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI)
What do I need to know?
You have to have…
- a Nebraska Life, Sickness, Accident and Health Agent’s license
- Series 6 or 7, 63 and 66 equivalent or willingness to pursue
- a High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of three (3) years in Employee Benefits experience
- a valid Driver’s License
- knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Medicare, self-funded groups and 5500’s
- excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel), electronic mail system,
- and all other agency automation software
- strong respect for confidentiality
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with company employees and
- external contacts
- a valid Driver’s License
