Supervisor, Personal Insurance:
Koch is seeking a leader who is passionate about team development and creating an outstanding experience for our personal insurance clients. Our Supervisor, Personal Insurance will provide leadership and develop department goals for the Personal Insurance team that align with the agency’s vision.

You will:
Supervisory:
- Assist Community Leader in the overall direction of department, including organization of staff, establishment and monitoring of objectives, and staff performance
- Plan and conduct personal department meetings
- Compile information for required departmental reporting as needed
- Assist in the development and implementation of automation projects as needed
- Organize and implement quality reviews as required by the company E&O carrier; compile data and assist in incorporating any changes that may be required as a result of the E&O quality review
- Establish and maintain department policies and procedures
- Perform quality reviews to ensure all departmental procedures are being followed and automation tools are being used effectively
- Assist in the identification of departmental staffing needs, including participation in the selection and hiring process
- Provide work direction, training/development, and manage the performance of all direct reports
- Administer timely and effective performance management, including salary administration
- Meet and develop effective relationships with insurance company underwriting and management level personnel to facilitate resolution of service issues
- Participate in company and inter-departmental business activities and committees as needed
Service:
- Perform all personal lines service needs including applications, quotations, ID cards, endorsements, binders, claims, billings, renewals, action items and correspondence on assigned accounts
- Market new and renewal business
- Assist in the sales process of personal insurance products
- Enter and maintain underwriting and marketing information in appropriate database
- Receive, document and process all insureds’, producers’ and insurance companies’ requests for service and submit information to insurance companies in a timely manner
- Conduct annual coverage surveys and recommend/sell additional coverage and/or increases in limits
- Review new business, renewals and endorsements to ensure items are received as ordered while following agency procedures
- Obtain expiration dates for additional policies on all mono-line accounts
- Maintain accurate and complete client activity information in the agency management systems
- Incorporate the capabilities of the agency management systems into daily workflow
- Maintain knowledge of current underwriting and policy provisions, including binding authority, of contracted insurance carriers
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained in the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of highly sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI) and credit information
- Maintain effective communication with producers to keep them informed of all important activities on respective accounts
- Service personal lines accounts in a manner to eliminate gaps in coverage to reduce E&O exposures
- Maintain, develop, and pursue technical knowledge through newsletters, bulletins, seminars, trade publications or other educational opportunities
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance
- Any other special projects and duties as assigned
What do I need to know?
You have to have…
- a valid driver’s license
- a high school diploma or equivalent
- a Property and Casualty Agent’s license
- Ability to motivate, develop & direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the position
- strong time management and organizational skills
- strong verbal and written communication skills
We'd like it if you have...
- Experience with Sagitta and AMS 360
- 5-7 years of Personal Lines insurance experience preferred
- 3 years of leadership experience preferred
