Scott Durbin joined The Harry A. Koch Co., now FNIC, 32 years ago and has worked with both our Personal Lines and Business Insurance clients. He is a licensed property/casualty, life, and health agent; consultant and broker in over 20 states. Scott has been awarded the Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation and is currently pursuing his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation, having completed six of the ten courses. He is also a member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers.
Scott specializes in nonprofit, construction, bonding, manufacturing and school district risk management. His extensive experience allows him to assist his clients with disaster planning, continuity planning, loss control and contractual risk transfer. He has presented on risk management topics to groups including, AGC, ABC, NAM, UNMC, UNO, Grow Nebraska, Large Church Risk Managers Association, and The Professional Insurance Agents of Nebraska.
Scott has been married for over 30 years and has 3 children. His past civic activities include serving on several nonprofit boards, including officer roles as President and Vice President. He currently is the Chairman of the Alumni Board with the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Scott is also very active in Student Ministry at his church, coached several of his children’s sports teams and is also a licensed high school soccer referee.
